Saints Peter and Paul cathedral is an architectural landmark of the 15th century. In the middle of the 17th century during the Turkish invasion the church was turned into a main mosque in the county. Turks established a 36-meter minaret next to the entrance to the church. Later, Pols installed a gilded sculpture of the Saint Mary on the top of the minaret.
